Introducing Group Thinking Sessions

Community activation happens best in groups when we pool together our collective thinking to identify problems more accurately and brain storm innovative solutions. To that end, I introduce my new Group Thinking Sessions, which are designed to have elements of course work, consulting & coaching, and immersion into a community framework.

What do Group Thinking Sessions look like?

Elements of Group Thinking Sessions

A small group of people meets together to share experiences and ideas, while being led through a 6-part course of 1.5-hour sessions (once a week or every two weeks) to explore the fundamentals of Community Activation. For every session, we’ll have a topic theme like:

* Community Activation: Understanding our goals
* Governance: Establishing culture and trust
* Participation: Roles and involvement in community
* Communication: Keeping the community looped in and on track
* Leadership: Empowering the community
* Reflection: Improvement and adaptation

The cost per person to join a cohort for the Group Thinking Sessions can be found here.

What will you get out of the Group Thinking Sessions?

Aside from getting your questions answered, you will also gain:

* A network of Community Activation peers
* A map to move forward with your own community goals
* A new way to approach community engagement and empowerment

You’ll also get to join a Slack workspace to continue engaging with your peers after the Sessions are over.

Overall, I hope that we will all get to know each other better, learn together from our collective experiences and challenges, and stay in touch in the future.
